About Admission
To apply to the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, complete the online application. When you are finished, click the SUBMIT button on the left column and follow the instructions. Send a check or money order for $50 to the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Office of Admission. MCAT scores must also be sent directly to Scholl College. Required letters of evaluation and official transcripts from all colleges attended must be sent to the Office of Admission in sealed envelopes.
The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine attracts students of high caliber, so the admission process is competitive. We are committed to admitting only the most highly qualified applicants. To accomplish this goal we provide financial aid and scholarship assistance to approximately 97 percent of our students. Scholl has the largest scholarship and endowment program in podiatric medical education, offering one-half tuition scholarships, Merit Scholarships, Endowed Scholarships, Stafford Student Loans, Perkins Student Loans, Health Professions Student Loans, student employment and loans from other sources. Special aid programs are available to residents of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Canadian residents may be eligible for loans through the Canadian Podiatry Education Foundation.
At Scholl, we attempt to enroll students who present evidence of strong preparation for the study of podiatric medicine. (See AN OPEN LETTER TO ADMISSIONS CANDIDATES) The overall grade point average for matriculants over the past several years, including the undergraduate science GPA, has averaged above 3.0 based on a 4.0 grade scale. Each year, most entering students possess an earned baccalaureate or advanced degree. At a minimum, a candidate's academic credentials must include successful completion of 90 semester credit hours or 135 quarter credit hours, including the following minimum credits:
- Biology
- 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours)
- General/Inorganic Chemistry
- 8 semester hours (12 quarter hours)
- Organic Chemistry
- 8 semester hours (12 quarter hours)
(Biochemistry may be substituted for half of the Organic Chemistry requirement with permission of the Admissions Committee.)
- Physics
- 8 semester hours (12 quarter hours)
- English
- 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours)
All science courses must include lab work where applicable. Applicants are also required to submit satisfactory Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores earned no more than three years prior to enrollment.
The faculty prefer to have a composite evaluation from the Pre-Professional Advisory Committee at the primary undergraduate institution attended. Three letters of evaluation from individual members of the science faculty may be substituted for the composite evaluation. Letters from health professionals and personal references or recommendations may be submitted in addition to the academic evaluations at the candidate's option. All evaluations and recommendations are considered confidential admission records and cannot be released to the applicant.
Letters of evaluation should be forwarded to the Office of Admission when beginning the application process.

How To Use the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine Online Application
To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from
the popup lists (where applicable).
After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left
column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current
screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct
your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to
skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function
on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.
